The mighty U17's score an excellent win over local rivals Norton. It was fine performance by the city side with contributions from all the squad. >

Wells Under 17’s 12 Midsomer Norton Under 17’s 7

Wells went into this exciting game full of hope that they could claim their second win of the season. Following a brilliant start from the Wells pack they had Norton on the back foot straight away, and soon scored the first try of the game after a brilliant run from scrum half Jamie Horton who ran over half of the pitch to score his first try of the season, Skipper Lewis Cohen converted the kick. Within minutes Wells scored another try through powerhouse Gareth Hopkins. At the start of the second half Norton managed to pull a try back and put Wells under some pressure, but was never enough to worry full back Sam Whitworth who looked composed throughout the match. As Wells pushed hard late on, Nathan Anderson was unlucky not to add a couple of tries to his seasons tally. All in all a hard fought game by Wells who thoroughly deserved the win.
