Official Richmond Women RFC
Chance to play an international team this weekend!
By Anita - March 18 2008
Fantastic opportunity to play against the Swedish Women this weekend! >

**UPDATE:  We have 10 forwards and not enough backs for the game!!  If you are a back or capable of playing in the back line please let Jock know asap!! **

Guys

Sweden were due to play against England development side next week - they have been let badly down having just been informed there is no team to play (not sure as to why) but each of the Swedish girls have paid their own flight and accommodation to come over to play the game.  They have also paid for pitch hire and the after match function.

Their coach has put a phone call into us to see if we can field a good A/B side to help them out.

I appreciate its the Saturday of the bank holiday weekend but the coaching team have decided to ask people if they would like to
a) get a game which will be a good standard prior to keep match fitness
b) help the Swedish girls out - seeing as becks is one of our own!

It is really awful what has happened to them and they have been totally left in the lurch.  Kick off will be midday so it wont take up the whole of Saturday, and may be a great excuse to have a good club day with a cracking game to play in.  It's not every day a good club side gets the chance to play an international team that they are capable of playing.

Can people please let me know so we can let them know one way or another.

Thanks
Jocks
