This page is designed for newcomers, to provide you with a brief taste of what makes Richmond what it is and why we love it so much.
Richmond WFC is the ONLY fully integrated club in the RFUW
So how do you fancy playing for a club where the women's section is treated fairly? For instance, would you like to have equal access to the 1st XV pitch, changing rooms and physio staff?
Richmond WFC cater for all abilities
As the only women's club with three senior teams we really can cater for all abilities, from seasoned internationals to complete beginner.
Richmond WFC offers quality coaching
We are proud to boast both quality and quantity coaching staff. The coaching matrix for 2007-08 is yet to be announced, but you can be sure that it will include both some of the very best female coaches and guys who have been coaching women's rugby at the top level since....well, before all of us started playing.
Each team will be allocated a head coach and a deputy, and additional specialist coaching will be provided by members of our coaching team. If coaching is your future, then we can help there too: 10 of our players took their level 1 badges last season.
Richmond WFC is the home of the Prada Shandy
With social HQ at the Sun Inn, there's rarely a night that you couldn't find someone to drink with. Social highlights include: the Christmas Party, End of Season Dinner, Ladies What Lunch before the boys games, and the unforgettable, and unmissable Summer Sunday Club.
Richmond WFC loves to tour
Since our last big tour (South Africa, 2003) more local trips have included the Kinsale 7's, Solstice 7's, Sunshine 7's, Amsterdam 7's, oh and that infamous weekend in Cardiff . . . . the list goes on!! We've just come back from Italy (Aug 2007), our VIIs team are due to go to Dubai in September and we're looking at possible venues for a big one in 2008.
