After a slow start in their opening pool game against Worthing, the Pink Ba-Bas went onto win their pool group. As the initial nerves settled, they got better with each match putting on an entertaining display of 7s rugby. The Ba-Bas looked in impressive form, once again under the leadership of Captain Sam Wilson, and did not drop a single point.
The Ba-Bas impressive display in the semi’s and final entertained the crowds. The day gave all members of the squad excellent game as preparation for the Heineken Kinsale 7s on the weekend (5-6 May) where they return with two teams to improve on their Plate win of last year.
A spokesman for the Sunshine 7s said, “The Pink Ba-Bas were really enjoyable to watch, providing entertaining rugby. These girls clearly enjoy their passion for 7s!”.
