After two tied games Hythe Under 17's came back down to earth with a bump as they were completely outplayed by a very good Paultons side - Losing by 8 Wkts.
Hythe were put into bat and Froggie must have wished he'd stayed at home as the first 6 wkts fell for just 19 runs in 10 overs. Only skipper Kieran Chalmers 26* matched the talented Paultons bowlers and with the assistance of Josh Mead (10) late on they managed to pull the score round to 56 for 8 at the close.
With only pride to play for Hythe fielded well and two excellent catches from James Bidwell and Jordan Blandford removed both openers before the visitors reached their target in only the 8th over. Josh Mead battled hard with the ball - his 3 overs going for just 7 runs.
If there's any consulation we all know that all of our lads will be old enough to play in the same age group next year and this Paultons side could probably hold their own in South West 3 of the Hampshire League.
