SUPER 11's THROUGH TO Q-FINALS
Hythe Under 11's turned the form books upside down by beating unbeaten Northern Section side Bramshaw by 2 wkts in the first round of the Forest Cup. Bramshaw batted first scoring 75 for 9 - Hythe 76 for 8 with 10 balls remaining.

Hythe and Dibden under 11s progress to the Quarter Finals of the knock out cup after beating Bramshaw by 2 wickets.

Skipper Tom Knight-Owen won the toss and put the opposition in to bat on a very windy morning at Jones Lane. Hythe, who welcomed into the side Fraser Smith, Will Ladbury and Robbie Basset, opened the bowling with Sam Fenton and Sam Carley. Carley struck first by bowling Mason for 0 with the second ball of his first over. The Green caps had to wait until Lewie Fay came on to bowl for the second wicket dismissing Rowland for 10 clean Bowled. Tom Knight-Owen struck in his second over bowling Loveless for 0.

Hythe continued bowling tightly, Tom Jones Bowling one over for 2 runs and Fraser Smith bowling one over for 8 runs, both causing the batsman trouble. The forth Wicket went to Sam carley who bowled Cooper for 5 and the fifth wicket went to Knight-Owen dismissing Easterbeale for 3. Sam fenton came back on to bowl at the death picking up 2 wickets in his third over dismissing Barcia (bowled) and Crawford (caught by Fay) both for one.

Fay then picked up the 8th wicket of Pointer for 4 runs and Fenton picked up the ninth wicket of Hayter for 0. Fenton finished with figures of 4 over 3 wickets for 15 runs. Wicket Keeper Will Ladbury in his first game as a keeper did excellently and the fielding was exceptional to keep the runs down. - Bramshaw score 75-9

Hythe opened the batting with Sam Jessney and Tom Ferrier and they faced tough bowling from Loveless and Mason before Loveless bowled Ferrier for 0. When Mason picked up 2 wickets in his second over, Jessney for 5 and Knight-Owen for 0 the Green caps were in trouble.

A 32 run partnership between Robbie Basset and Lewie Fay, who topped scored with 23, lead the green caps from 8 for 3 to 40 for 3 before Fay was caught by Easterbrook off the bowling of Cooper. Bassett hung around with Fay and also Carley and whilst he scored only 1 he helped contribute to two partnerships worth 44 altogether.

Carley was out for 12 after hitting 3 fours and Fenton was given out LBW off loveless to set up a close finish with the green caps 62 for 6 then 72 for 7. When Chris Kemp was out for 7 after hitting 7 including a 4 through the covers Hythe were 73 for 8. This set up the ninth wicket partnership of Fraser Smith and Tom Jones and it was down to Jones to hit the winning 2 runs to seal Hythe’s 2 wicket win.
