HYTHE under 11 v BASHLEY 'B'
HYTHE & DIBDEN UNDER
11's
Vs BASHLEY 'B'
Sunday 18th May
Same Old, Same Old
We started off again with another lovely
summer’s morning, we won the toss again, we fielded, we
batted, we lost, but we are improving.
A good fielding display with some fine
bowling figures from Archie Gilbert, Ben Fenton and Ali Bryers -
all clean bowling the opposition, Mitch Parker took the other
wicket with a C +B. Extras were 9 wides and 2 byes meant
Bashley’s score was kept at an achievable 243 runs
Hythe‘s batting got off to a reasonable
start with 11 runs off the first two overs but never got going
after that with us still on 18 runs after 12 overs. Harrison
Smith top scored with 12 in the last pair to reach a total of 228
runs, 15 short of Bashley.
Heads to be held high though with a cup
match to look forward to on Monday. You never know, if rain stops
play on several occasions, and a toss of the coin is required to
see who proceeds to the next round, nobody can dispute our
current form with the coin, we must be odds on favourites.
