COUNTY DIVISION 2

HYTHE 2nd XI - Hampshire Regional Division 4 Champions

First XI had a solid first season in County 2, finishing 6^th, the batting was dominated by SA player Adrian Greyvenstein who broke the divisional record with over 1000 league runs and scoring 239* at Amport, the bowling was reliable with Greyvenstein & skipper Paul Whitlock taking 20 wickets each and Ben Kendrick picking up 16 at a good average.

Mike Bowmans Second XI won the Hampshire Regional Division 4 title losing just one game in thirteen.Simon Dixon and Gary Howe lead the way with the bat - both topping over 50 in the averages. Spin kings Ian White and Pete Stevens took over 50 wickets between them and there was also a good contribution from young Darren Miller.

Another first for 2003 saw Hythe entertain a touring side from Ahmedabad (India) and play their last home game of the season at Exbury.
