An understrength 1st XI travelled to Madeley on the last day expecting a difficult end to the season but came away with a comfortable win to ensure a tird place finish for the second season running.
The match was played in glorious late summer sunshine an irony in itself considering the poor weather that has been endured this season.
Quatt won the toss and inserted Madeley on a wet track but it soon became clear that the hosts were not really interested in claiming the third place spot by shuffling their batting order around. However, Quatt remained proffessional and stuck to the task in hand bowling out Madeley for just 97 with spin twins Craig Jones and Jimmy Arbuckle claiming eight of the wickets. Arbuckle was the pick of the bowlers taking 5-24.
Dean Robinson and Adam Evans set about the target and Robinson looked in fine touch before a mix up led to him being run out for 39 with the score on 58. Quatt never really looked in trouble and gave opportunity to both Dave Jones and Jordan Shimwell and despite losing Evans, Harris and Jones they reached the target after 29 overs.
Scorecard

Scorecard
The 3rd XI's good end to the season continued with a superb win over Madeley 3rds. Batting first in a 40 over game Quatt made 202-6 thanks to knocks from Alastair Walker (70 not out), Paul Griffiths 34 and Greame Hickman 25.
