Quatt lost their second league game of the season and were beaten at the Oval for the first time since May 2007 on Saturday.

Put into bat on a wicket where the overnight rain had got under the covers, Qcc were in allsorts of trouble at 21-6. However a resiliant 50 from Eugene McCarney supported well by the lower order ebabled Qcc to post 109 all out.

However, this would never be enough and Ludlow passed the total for the loss of just three wickets.

On a more positive note the seconds recorded an impressive win at the Burway. Qcc posted 162-8 from their allotted 45 overs with Dave Jones top scoring with 66. In reply Ludlow were bowled out for 136 with skipper Matt Fleming taking a five wicket haul.
