DRUIDS Reserves’ first league game of the season, away at Brickfield Rangers, was postponed last Friday in bizarre circumstances.
The players of both sides were unable to gain access to the changing rooms at the ground and, with other possibilities ruled out, it was decided that the match would be called off.
The Reserves are due to host Glyn Ceiriog Reserves at Plaskynaston Lane tomorrow night (Tuesday) before travelling to take on Garden Village Reserves on Saturday. Kick-off for the Glyn Ceiriog game is 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Reserves’ pre-season saw mixed results.
Firstly they drew 1-1 with Johnstown, with Michael Taylor scoring for The Ancients.
They then suffered a 2-0 reverse at Castell Alun. But the result was not wholly reflective on Druids as they were short of players which saw manager Brian Manford play as an emergency striker and the second choice keeper play in the centre of defence.
The final pre-season game saw Josh Russell, Mark Brown and Joe Price each find the net in a 3-3 draw against Brymbo. |
