Up front, new signing from West, Brett Culliane goes straight into the starting line up and will play at hooker along side Andy Cummings and Des Hall, in a strong lucking front row. The successfully second row pairing from last season of Karl Hansen (Durham County under 20's) and Stewart Hind is employed one again. The back row will be named on the day, as player coach Alan Brown may be working. If Brown is unavailable Dave Ryan will start at number 8. Andrew Palmer and Andrew Woodward complete the forwards line up.
In the backs, winger Martin Ryan starts on the left wing with Adam Redhead dictating things from the stand off berth. Anthony Burgon is poised to make his full first team debut at scrum half after impressing during pre-season. New signing from Seaton, Lewis Humble will make his full debut along side last season top try scorer Frankie Coulson. Kicking machine, Patrick Wilson is the last line of defence at full back and Dean Ryan plays on the right wing.
On the bench, Pool have Chris Webster providing cover in the front row, Tom Johnson covers the second row and Liam Lester and Chris Williamson covering the backs.
