Airbus suffer a league defeat at Haverfordwest
By Steve Hughes - August 30 2004
Airbus made the long trip to Haverfordwest unbeaten, but returned with no league points and plenty of learning points. The Wingmakers now have 3 points from a possible 6. >
Airbus started brightly and had an equal share of possesion and chances for the first half. However 3 goals in 3 minutes finshed the tie as a contest, and Haverfordwest had the second half to themselves.

It has looked good early on as Airbus created several chances. Macintosh headed just over following good work from Thomas. Macintosh and Accott also failed to hit the target when they had found good shooting positions.

A spectacular goal just before half-time stunned Airbus though, and 2 more goals followed shortly afterwards.

There was no way back from there, and a Hughes penalty was only a consolation goal, as Haverfordwest went on to score 3 more second half goals and the game ended 6-1.

It was another step along the learning curve for Airbus against a very good Haverfordwest side who will be challenging for the title. Airbus will look to take those lessons into the next game and bounce back to winning ways.
