Now as I sit here this Tuesday afternoon, having been asked to write the match report by "The great 1" who could not be bothered to do so, I have actually forgotten who we played this week and how we got on...I shall run and ask Jack and be back in a second...thankyou for your patience ...........................................................................................................................................................
Im back....The boys arrived at the FCG 4 hours before the opposition this week (Whittingham and Goosnargh) who in fact turned up at 1.28. This tactic, in one's humble opinion should be taken into consideration by Andrew "The Great 1 " Furniss as they threw on their whites, walked to the middle, and in all honesty gave us an absolute rooting!!!!.....
Furn lost the toss as per usual and we were inserted. The top order were all extremely bad and the middle order were extremely bad.....The tail was extremely bad!!!!.....We then went out to bowl and we really were extremely bad!!!....Drew and I took the new ball and he picked up 2 wickets I think but I didn't.
Toby then thought it would be funny to end the game quickly after being helped to the rope 5 times in one over...nice 1 chief!!!......Danny, however bowled very well, and picked up 3 wickets.
Barry Willis couldn't really be bothered with cricket this week and so claimed he was having difficulty seeing the ball. One particular incident saw him run after a ball, stopping and starting 3 times before deciding it would make more sense for him to not bother and indeed make me run from the other side of the FCG to collect the ball. Again, nice 1 chief.
Much improvement is needed and you're all going to have to realise that I cant do it all on my own, somebody will have to chip in soon.
In all seriousness, we must get better in order to avoid ending the season disappointed and possibly getting pulled into the relegation battle.....
I've put about as much effort into this match report as I did into the Saturdays game and for that, I apologise......Only joking Great one, Keep ones hat on ones head!!!!!
COME ON THE 1'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
