On Saturday TECH unfortunately had to cry off from their proposed game at Barnard Castle. Despite having a number of players unavailable this week 17 players turned up for the game but unfortunately only two front row forwards were available due to at least two others being late absentees. Obviously there absence plus that of the other unavailables meant that it would have been unfair not to mention unsafe to turn out against a Castle side that themselves have a big well drilled forward unit.

In the true spirit of rugby once the game was called off  the majority of TECH players travelled up to Brinkburn where they turned out for the Amateurs side that were due to play Yarm. Thankfully due to the fact that they all played  both the West players present and the visiting Yarm team were able to have a game of rugby in the glorious conditions.
 
With players due back this week it is hoped that all those available plus any others who would like to, will attend training on Wednesday evening and also commit themselves to turning out for next weeks home game against Acklam. Any who cannot attend training but who are available for the game are asked to contact the club on Wednesday to confirm their availability.
