Barnard Castle v TECH

After a very difficult close season  TECH look to get their season underway tomorrow when they travel to face Barnard Castle. Despite several players opting to move to other local clubs since last term many of last seasons small squad have remained loyal to the club and hopefully that loyalty can be rewarded with a more enjoyable experience this time around.

Though TECH are still anxious to try and attract as many new & old players of all levels of ability as they can to swell the ranks within the club things have improved of late. Having engaged the services of ex Hartlepool coach, Howie MURRAY the Wednesday evening training numbers have, albeit slowly started to grow. The sessions have been varied and enjoyable and hopefully his involvement will continue to swell the numbers by attracting both existing players and others from around the area who are looking for an enjoyable challenge.

For tomorrows trip although they have a number of regulars unavailable the club have been able to select a squad that is a mixture of experience and youth. Based on this tomorrows game is likely to be a difficult one but as the squad gets to know one another better over the coming weeks hopefully things will get easier. However the game goes it is great to see the players pulling together and showing that they are determined to pull things round again.
