GAMES THIS WEEK-END ALTHOUGH THE SEASON IS ALL BUT OVER THOSE SUPPORTERS ALREADY MISSING THEIR 'FIX' OF RUGBY ACTION HAVE THE CHANCE OF TAKING IN A COUPLE OF GAMES IN THE AREA TO ENJOY THIS WEEK-END.
SATURDAY SEES THE DURHAM COUNTY XV PLAY THEIR ONLY HOME GAME IN THIS SEASONS COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP SHIELD COMPETITION WHEN THEY FACE CUMBRIA AT BLACKWELL MEADOWS, DARLINGTON. (KICK OFF 3PM, ENTRY 3)

HAVING LOST THEIR OPENING GAMES AGAINST NORTH MIDLANDS AND NORTHUMBERLAND A WIN IS A MUST FOR THE COUNTY SIDE IF THEY ARE TO REMAIN IN THE SHIELD COMPETITION NEXT YEAR AS THE LOSERS WILL BE RELEGATED TO THE PLATE. WITH THREE LOCAL PLAYERS, ANDREW DIXON (WEST), GARETH FOREMAN (ROVERS) & HIS BROTHER ANDREW (D.M.P) IN THE STARTING LINE UP THERE SHOULD BE PLENTY FOR LOCAL ENTHUSIASTS TO ENJOY.

ON SUNDAY THERE IS A CHANCE FOR PEOPLE TO SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE AS BILLINGHAM TAKE ON A TEESSIDE BARBARIANS XV WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO THE JACK SMITH TRUST FUND. AS EVERYONE WILL KNOW JACK IS A 17YR OLD BILLINGHAM PLAYER WHO SUFFERED A SERIOUS INJURY EARLIER THIS YEAR. AS WELL AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE A GOOD GAME IT IS A CHANCE TO SUPPORT THIS WORTHY CAUSE. KICK OFF IS AT 2PM AND A SMALL DONATION WILL BE REQUESTED AT THE GATE.
