Ilkley Rugby club offers a warm welcome to players or new members coming into the area from other parts of the world. We have recent experience of players of good quality and experience coming from Australia and New Zealand both to do the “life experience thing” or to further their careers and gain experience in a new environment. Without exception the players concerned have had a rich and rewarding time in Ilkley. Ilkley is a vibrant community located close to the cities of Leeds and Bradford (both 20 minutes by train). Ilkley Rugby Club has developed strong ties with New Plymouth Old Boys Rugby Club in New Zealand. Players there can vouch for the warm welcome and excellent quality of life in and around the Ilkley area. For more info try www.ilkley.org The club are pleased to offer help and assistance to suitably able/qualified players with travel costs to and from the UK and to find accommodation to suit any budget, and, if necessary, work in the area. Reasonable expenses are paid to players for travel to training or to games, but ILKLEY PLAYERS ARE NOT PAID TO PLAY RUGBY.
