Phil Ainsley has taken over the helm of the Junior Section at Redcar RUFC. From an acedemic background Phil brings good organisational skills into the team to help take the section forward once more. Also being an active member of the famous MartiniBoys Phil knows a little about rugby too.

I have enjoyed my 2 years as Chairman and am proud at the way everyone has pulled together to get the section moving forward in a positive and constructive manner and I feel sure that Phil will take this forward during his time in charge . I thank everybody who has been involved with the junior section over the last 2 years for all there help and support.For me I am looking forward to concentrating on the coaching side and with this new and vibrant U17s side I am looking forward to getting involved in some good hard games this season and helping to mould these guys into good senior players for the very near future.

Philosophy - You should play rugby to have fun. Its all about running with the ball and enjoying it. The winning, although nice, comes second, although you must play to win at all times.
