Seaton Carew Golf Club
Our First 19th Hole!
By Brian Quinn - December 7 2003
The first clubhouse was constructed in 1888 to provide welcome comfort for the, then, relatively small membership. The total cost was just £150. >

In only a few years the membership soared and so in 1893 the building was extended to cope with around 200 members, which proved satisfactory until 1905 when locker rooms were added.

The basic character of the clubhouse has remained the same since then. A series of alterations and extentions over the past three decades culminating with a major refurbishment in 1996 has enhanced the club facilities immeasurably.

The most recent changes affected almost all areas of the clubhouse, lounge, dining room, snooker room, and additional facilities for our Ladies and Junior section.

Our visitors have also been provided for with seperate changing rooms etcetera, all of which has provided extra comfort for members and visitors alike.

The Club professional, Mark Rogers, has his shop adjoining the entrance to the clubhouse, and can supply all golfing equipment required to complete the enjoyment of your day's golf at Seaton Carew.

The Club has lost none of its character and the warmth of the welcome for visitors is renowned. Why not pay us a visit and find out for yourselves.
