West Wales Cup Draws In Four Competitions
Draws in the West Wales Cup have been made at Senior, Youth and Junior levels. Full information of the fixtures can be seen by reading on...

There is to be an all-Welsh League First Division tie and local derby in the quarter final of this season West Wales Senior Cup between Briton Ferry and league leader's Neath Athletic.

The Old Road side are only now entering the competition but Neath, who recently opened up a 14-point gap at the top of the First Division, needed to overcome ambitious Neath League outfit Llansawel in round 2. The tie was played at Cwrt Herbert, where Garden Village were knocked out by the Neath Leaguer's in the previous round, proved to be a luckier ground for Athletic as they stormed to a 4-1 victory to progress into the last eight.

Village's rivals Morriston Town were paired with local league sides in St. Joseph's and Monkton Swifts in rounds 1 and 2 respectively, but are faced with a much tougher test in the quarter's when they travel to Richmond Park to face Welsh Premiership side Carmarthen Town.

Swansea City will most probably field a youth side when they face Ragged School, which is likely to be played at RTB Landore, but the tie of the round pairs Swansea League outfit Winch Wen and Premiership Haverfordwest County. Winch Wen have enjoyed their run throughout the competition which has been them dispose of West End and Carmarthenshire League side Seaside, and they will fancy their chances of an upset against Deryn Brace's seventh-placed side.

Garden Village were winners of the West Wales FA Youth Cup only two seasons ago, but on Saturday the youngsters were knocked out at the first round stage away at Tenby, who were 4-2 winners. The Pembrokeshire side will now go on to face Morriston Town, another Swansea side, in round 2 next month.

In the Ray Nedin West Wales Junior Cup, Village have been handed a home tie against Carmarthenshire Junior League side Dafen Welfare, who enjoyed a 7-0 win at Bryn Rovers in the first round last month. But it was the Village Under-14 side were to celebrate a victory with double the scoreline, a 14-0 home success over Hendy Juniors.

And finally, in the Tesco Under-13 West Wales Cup, Garden Village will play Landore Colts in the second round at Stafford Common. The youngsters reached the second round stage after an impressive 5-1 win at Carmarthen Town.
