This weekend will see the start of the 2005 Summer Cup, sponsored by Krislyn, an annual competition contested by teams from the Lliw Valley area.

Garden Village 'Thirds' have been placed in Section B along with fellow Carmarthenshire League sides Hendy, Llangyfelach, Penllergaer and Pontlliw, while Section A includes Gorseinon, Loughor, Pengelli, Pontarddulais and Swansea Senior League side Kingsbridge Colts.

The competition will be used in preparation for the domestic season which kicks-off at the end of August in Swansea and at the start of September in Carmarthenshire.
