Simon Cole
Age: 22 |
Former Swansea City shot-stopper
Simon joined the club a couple of weeks into the season from Welsh
Premiership outfit Aberystwyth Town, but he never
made a competitive appearance for the Seasiders. The 22-year-old Wales U-19
cap did make three starts for near-neighbours Llanelli in 2002/03, but had
to wait until November 2005 to make his Village debut in the 3-1 win at
Abertillery Excelsiors.

Dale Hulland
Age: 24 |
Has Welsh League experience
with Briton Ferry, Goytre United and Morriston Town. Made his first-team
debut in the 5-1 friendly win at Tenby in July 2006.

Stuart Lloyd
Age: 23 |
Son of manager Bob Lloyd, Stuart had been out of the game since December
2004 when he picked up an injury in a match at Porthcawl Town, but returned
to between the sticks in the summer of 2006. A great commander of his box
and a good shot stopper, Stuart will be hoping to re-claim the number one
jersey for season 2006/07.

David Evans
Age: 23 |
At only
23 years of age, David has been an established member of the first team for
many seasons after progressing through the Junior section of the club.
Suffered a nasty leg injury in the derby match at Morriston in December 2005
but did return before the end of the season. Was scorer of just one goal in
the League Cup win over Pontyclun last October.

Michael Harvey
Age: 23 |
Joined in the summer of 2006
from unsuccessful Welsh Premiership candidates Neath Athletic and made his
debut in the pre-season friendly win at Tenby. The central defender has also
played for Pontardawe Town and West End.

Jack Jenkins
Age: 20 |
Left-sided 20-year-old defender and midfielder who joined the club from
near-neighbours Briton Ferry at the start of October 2005. After a spell
away from the first-team as the final campaign drew to a close, Jack will be
hoping to become a regular name on Bob Lloyd's team sheet.

Alex Jones
Age: 19 |
A keen cricketer, Alex was a member of the successful Under-16's side of
2003/04. Strong at the back, he made his first-team debut as a substitute in
the league win at Ammanford in August 2004.

Neil Lloyd
Age: 23 |
Bob
Lloyd's other son, the 23-year-old right-sided defender is another to have
progressed through the Junior ranks at the club. He has also represented
Porth Tywyn at Youth level and Swansea Boys’ Club. Broke his leg in the 1-1
draw at Gwynfi United in October 2005 and missed the rest of the campaign.

Nicky Lowe
Age: 19 |
A left-sided defender who can
also operate in midfield, Nicky played Swansea Senior League football last
season for Mountain Dew before making the summer switch to Stafford Common.
He's had trials at a number of professional clubs and has played for Afan
Lido, Llanelli and Port Talbot and Youth and Junior level.

Jamie Mansell
Age: 28 |
Made his debut in the 2-1 defeat at Croesyceiliog in the
Welsh Cup last season. The strong centre half helped Pontardawe Town to the
Welsh League Second Division championship and to the final of the Shamrock
Travel League Cup during 2004/2005. Has also played for Rhayader Town.

Andrew Pugh
Age: 27 |
The experienced defender is
yet to appear for the first-team in the league. He did make three
appearances during last pre-season, as well as playing at Tenby in July, and
came on as a last minute substitute in the West Wales Senior Cup defeat at
Llansawel in October 2005.

David Rimmer
Age: 25 |
Son of former Manchester United and Arsenal goalkeeper
Jimmy Rimmer. Dai is strong in the air, lethal in front of goal and was
scorer of five goals last season. Was second top-scorer behind the currently
injured Ben Brown (16) with eight the season before last.

Neil Simon
Age: 26 |
The third and final defender
to have joined the ranks for the new season, Neil made his first appearance
in a Village shirt during the 4-0 friendly win over St. Joseph's. Joined the
club from neighbours Morriston Town but also made 36 appearances, scoring
once, for both Aberystwyth Town and Haverfordwest County in the Welsh
Premiership between 1998 and 2000.

Craig Smith
Age: 19 |
Another
member of the Village Under-16’s of three seasons ago, Craig made his first
Village appearance at Merthyr Saints in October 2004. Has bags of pace and
is an exciting prospect.

Age: 23 |
Signed in
the summer of 2003 from Pontardawe, Carl is a left-sided player who can play
either in midfield or at the back if needed. Represented St. Joseph’s
(Swansea League) at Youth level.

Paul Bromage
Age: 34 |
Joined in December 2004 from Seven Sisters, Paul was once
on the books at both Queen’s Park Rangers and Swansea City. The experienced
midfielder has played League of Wales football with Briton Ferry, Afan Lido
and Port Talbot Athletic, making 48 league appearances and scoring on 2
occasions. The experienced midfielder scored just one goal last season.

Steven Evans
Age: 22 |
Younger brother of David, Steve progressed through the
Juniors before a move to Skewen Athletic in the summer of 2004. After only
one season playing with the Tennant Park outfit, he moved back to Village
last summer season after the merger between his old club and Neath. Steve
was scorer of 11 goals from midfield last term.

Chris Holt
Age: 23 |
Joined ahead of the new season
and made his first appearance as a second-half substitute in the friendly
defeat against ENTO Aberaman. Played for Mountain Dew in the Swansea League
last term and has also represented Pontardawe Town.

Derrick Jenkins
Age: 21 |
Tough-battling midfielder/forward who joined the club from Briton Ferry in
October 2005 and made his debut as a substitute in the home win over
Troedyrhiw a few days later. Scored his first goal in Village colours the
following day in the West Wales Cup defeat at Llansawel, but had to wait
until the start of December to bag his first league goal against Cardiff
Corries after a month on the sidelines.

Phil John
Age: 25 |
Has been in the first-team on and off over the last couple of seasons but
looked to have regained his place in the teams engine room during 2004/05. A
tough battler, Phil sadly suffered a nasty injury in the opening match of
last season at Pontypridd and was out until July when he returned in the
friendly at Tenby by putting in a man of the match performance.

Marc Lloyd
Age: 24 |
A qualified physiotherapist who works alongside Swansea
City physio Richard Evans on matchdays at the Liberty Stadium, Marc is an
exciting player who often operates at wing-back, but can also play in
midfield and up-front. Found the net four times last term.

Age: 25 |
Signed from Neath Athletic
during the summer of 2006 and deputized at right-wing back in the friendly
defeat against ENTO Aberaman. Scored the opening goal in Village's next
match against St. Joseph's.

Dean Richards
Age: 24 |
Joined the club during last pre-season after playing for Neath the season
before last. The big midfielder, who can also play in defence, is yet to
feature for the first-team.

Nicholas Romanello
Age: 38 |
Long
serving member of the club, a veteran of the game and club captain, Nicky
played a major role in the promotions from the Carmarthenshire League right
through to the First Division of the Welsh League between 1999 and 2002. Has
been with the club since his Junior days, but also had a brief spell at
Haverfordwest.

Dayle Selvage
Age: 17 |
Stepped-up from the Under-16’s in the summer of 2005. Has little experience
but you wouldn’t think it! A very reliable and confident young player who
has already made the position on the right-hand side his own. Scored his
first goal in senior football in the home defeat by ENTO Aberaman in
September 2005 and scored again the following weekend at Barry Town in the
League Cup.

Age: 25 |
Talented midfield player who joined in the summer after spending most of his
career in the Swansea Senior League. Made his only first-team appearance as
a substitute in the opening day defeat at Pontypridd last August.

Age: 33 |
Another
old head that Village can call upon in midfield. ‘Taz’, as he’s known, was
signed back in March 2005 and made his debut in the home win over Pontyclun

Merthyr Tydfil and Neath.

Made
the switch to Stafford Common after playing for Skewen in 2004/05, Ashley is
a very tall striker with an eye for goal. Was top-scorer last season with 19

Nigel Rogers
Age: 33 |
Joined last season from
strugglers Gwynfi United after moving down to Swansea. The vastly
experienced striker, who has an impressive goalscoring record at Welsh

Rob Shannon
Age: 22 |
The skilful young striker
joined the club after helping West End to promotion from Division 3 last
term. He started his career as a trainee at Swansea City and made 13,
scoring just once, in the Welsh Premiership for Llanelli and Port Talbot.
Scored twice on his Village debut down in Tenby.

Owen Williams
Age: 18 |
Tricky
young forward player who was another member of the free-scoring Under-16’s
of three seasons ago. Made his senior debut away at Llanwern in August 2004
and scored his first goal a few weeks later in the home defeat by
Pontardawe. Was in and out of the first-team last season and was scorer of
two goals.
