The middle of the three brothers, Andrew will link up with Brian and Gareth in the White Shirt and the trio look set, given the right amount and type of ball, to run riot in the three quarter line in the coming season.
Foreman spent time at the Friarage in seasons 2004/5 and 2005/6 playing mainly in the centre although he did appear in the number nine jersey from time to time and in one of those games he ran in four superb tries in a home clash with Redcar.
His lightening pace is bound to trouble the Durham Northumberland One defences come September but the Friaragemen will be hoping that his National League experience and well known appetite for and attitude to training will help the Whites to regroup and bounce back from last season’s relegation from North Two East.
There had been rumours of a Rovers return for Foreman at the end of January but, in the end, he remained with Mowden Park who narrowly failed to gain promotion to National Two at the end of the season before the Darlington side imploded after the season’s end.
The Friarage Faithful could be forgiven for wondering if the return then of Foreman may have turned out to be decisive as Rovers sought to beat the drop. They will, with coaches Jonathan Wrigley, Craig Lee and John Dixon, now be looking to their side to hit the ground running when the new season starts and to win the Durham Northumberland One title for the second time and secure promotion and an immediate return to North Two East.
