Official Hartlepool Rovers
Club Dinner and Awards
By R&O - June 3 2008
Hartlepool Rovers held their Club Dinner on Saturday night with County President Mike Lyons in attendance and former Rovers captain John Moore also present. >

Club Chairman Phil Mitchell addressed players and members and said that whilst relegation for the First Team had been a tremendous disappointment, it had happened and the club had to take stock and move forward. He was confident that this would happen both on and off the field and there would be announcements of plans and developments for Rovers. There had been some good form shown by the Heughers and the Thirds and the junior and mini section continued to develop the players of tomorrow.

Pre season training will start on Tuesday 1 July, then Thursday 3 July and every Tuesday and Thursday. Players to meet with training shoes and boots at the clubhouse 6:45pm

Awards were presented as follows:

A bit disappointed that more wasn't made of the tremendous effort the Heughers put in WINNING the TVL Merit league, by the "club". Perhaps D&N1 will see more of these players, playing a role in getting Rovers back to the top.

No doubt they will be discussed at the AGM but I don't see why we need to be "cloak and dagger" all the time.
