Peter Clegg commented: "Hydey was one of the experienced players who really led from the front towards the end of last season. He is a real dog on the field and a good communicator amongst the forward pack. I'm particularly looking forward to him bringing on the other exciting back-row players that we have brought together for the coming campaign."
Clegg also added: "Shutt has done a tremendous job as captain over the last two seasons. 2006/07 was a testing season for everyone at the Club but Shutt demonstrated a steely resolve and contributed massively to galvanising the squad and maintaining their focus on securing promotion back to National One at the first attempt. I'm looking forward to Ian being able to simply concentrate on playing while drawing all his National One experience to provide another leadership point on the field."
