West Bank Holiday

By Dave Picken - August 28 2020
West Bank Holiday The new outdoor tables and chairs we got for the West BeerFest will finally be used this weekend as we look to end  summer with some socially distanced food, drink and music.

 August bar

Please note: This is a an outdoor event with only limited space inside. Social distancing must be observed both inside and outside and any groups not complying will be asked to leave.

On Saturday the special bars will be open  from 2.00 p.m. until 23.00. There'll be a bbq and from 6.00 pm until dark Andy Carroll will be providing live music on the terrace.

On Sunday the bars will be open from Noon with bbq on the afternoon only.

There will be no admission charge but, in common with our beer festivals, we will be operating a chit system. They can  be purchased for either real ale (£5 for 3), lager (£5 for 3),  gin cocktails (£5 each), Wine/Prosecco(£5 for 2) and produced at the appropriate bar.

You will keep your glass for the day (half or pint or gin cocktail glass n.b. you will need two chits for each pint). Please place your glass on the bar and the person dispensing your drink will hold it in an individual disposable paper towel while they pour it to avoid contact. They will then put it on the bar top for you to pick up. You will need to show the approriate chit and put it in a bowl of water on the bar top - so again no contact.

There will be a  queuing system with several lines marked out to avoid any congestion at the bar and to speed up service. On the Real Ale bar each one of the 20 ales will be clearly shown on the big screen so please go directly to the pump of your choice when it is free.
