We(s)t Bank Holiday Weekend

By Dave Picken - August 1 2020
We(s)t Bank Holiday Weekend No Beer Festival crowds  this year for obvious reasons. However, our experience in the first month of socially distanced opening makes us confident that we can safely provide something a bit different for everyone this August Bank Holiday weekend starting on Saturday the 29th ..

We have any amount of space, and a lot of new outside tables and chairs,  so for that weekend  we will be offering a wider choice of drinks and some live music outside.

Andy Carroll will provide the Saturday outdoor entertainment from tea-time and there will be an additional 20 real ales to choose from as well as more exotic lagers, gins and ciders and a BBQ.

After a disastrous year in terms of income we will be looking for donations to provide those extra ales and gins.  Donations for a barrel, or one of the special gin cocktails, will once again be £150. Donors will have their own reserved table from 2.00 on Saturday August 29th for a  "bubble group" of six as well as drinks chits and bbq vouchers for their table.

It will be a two day event (and possibly three if there's anything left) - if you can't make the Saturday we can reserve  your table for the Sunday

It would be a great help if you could let us know now whether you would like to contribute your £150. Click here to email me.

Hi folks

For the weekend we are going to hold a beer bottle/can/keg raffle. Old style cloakroom ticket hobby.

All donations (in date stuff) accepted. I am away from Saturday for a week so no panic bringing stuff in.

Some of you may still be self isolating, no problem,I can call to gather item(s) or cash and I will buy an item on your behalf.

As ever the higher the alcohol content and/or greater distance might get a prize!
