Moortown Preview

By Dave Picken - November 8 2019
Moortown Preview Will Hilditch and Peter Youll return to the side which travels to Leeds for our first ever league encounter with Moortown.

Our hosts gained promotiion in some style from Yorkshire One last season, and are confident their pitch will be playable despite the monsoon which hit the area on Thursday.

We go into the first of two away games knowing needing points to stay in touch with the other clubs fighting relegation in North One East. Currently we are six points away from safety and travel again next week when we take on Kendal

The side will be boosted by the return of Will Hilditch, last season’s top try scorer, who has been out with a broken hand since the second game of the season. He will be at full back with Durham County skipper Peter Youll back from holiday and retuming in the centre.

On the bench Harry-Jon Morgan makes his first team debut after returning from Billingham where he served his time as the RFU's first ever apprentice.

We are now back to 2.15 kick offs, of course.

West: Will Hilditch,  Max Tennant, Zac Southern, Peter Youll, Lewis Scott, Stu Waites, Ryan Painter (capt), Adam Coates, Andrew Rollins, Adam Brown, Jake Linighan, John Bunter, Ben Armstrong, Ethan Ledington, Chris Atkins.

Changes:  Cameron Mould, Callum Johnston, Harry-Jon Morgan.
