Huddersfield YMCA Preview

By Dave Picken - October 25 2019
Huddersfield YMCA Preview Ollie Connolly is set to keep his place at fly half with player coach Stu Waites at inside centre in the side which takes on bottom club Huddersfield YMCA at Brinkburn (Kick off 3.00).

After weeks of managing a handful of enforced changes every game there's light at the end of the tunnel.

County skipper  Peter Youll is away this week and we are still missing long term injury victims Will Hilditch and Danny Cookland. However, all are expected to be back in contention for the trip to Moortown in a fortnight.

Adam Brown, Michael Hogan,  and Liam Bailey are all also available again this week.

They'll be in a squad which will take on a YM side suffering from an horrendous 33 points deduction -  imposed by the RFU after the parent organisation went into financial administration last month.

Despite their woes YM are putting up a brave fight with several of their players returning from rugby league action with Hunslet Hawks.

They have yet to win a game but last week ran Moortown close eventually losing 43-37.

West: Luke Mallinson, Lewis Scott, Zac Southern, Stu Waites, Max Tennant, Ollie Connolly, Ryan Painter (capt), Adam Coates, Andrew Rollins, Liam Pennick, Jake Linighan, John Bunter, Chris Atkins, Liam Bailey, Adam Brown.

Changes: Aidan Jackson-Smith, Michael Hogan, Ben Armstrong.

Huddersfield YMCA: Sam Fletcher, Jordan Bloem, Nathan Chappell, Gavin Stead, William Burns-Smith, Hayden Quigley, Sam Clews, Sam Slater, Ben Hill, Stuart Dyke, Max Kenworthy, Harry Garside, Charles Burnett, Mark Davison, Harry Scholes.

Changes: Sean Barrett, Andy Appleby, AN Other.
