Percy Park Preview

By Dave Picken - October 18 2019
Percy Park Preview Ollie Connolly will be wearing Stu Waites' No 10 shirt as we look to get some more vital points at Percy Park. The Head Coach is away at a wedding and he is just one of a handful of last week's team who are unavailable this week. Fortunately, we have a few back from injury and work.

The second row partnership of Bunter and Linighan is restored with Luke Mallinson and his big boot returning at full back.

Liam Bailey and Adam Brown both have work commitments and Connor McLurg is injured,  so there are changes in the back row . The hard tackling Ben Armstrong makes his debut as a first team flanker and Ethan Ledington returns after his impressive start to senior rugby.

The same can be said of Liam Pennick and Aidan Jackson-Smith in the front row. They both keep their starting places while Owen Westhorp will be making his first start on the wing after getting the bonus point try against Scarborough last week.

The tenacious Mex Tennant also returns on the other wing.

They'll take on a Percy Park side which has won two of its six games but, like West, tends to lose games by only relatively small margins.

West: Luke Mallinson, Owen Westhorp, Zac Southern, Peter Youll, Max Tennant,  Ollie Connolly, Ryan Painter (capt),  Andrew Rollins, Aidan Jackson-Smith, Liam Pennick, Jake Linighan, John Bunter, Ethan Ledington, Ben Armstrong, Chris Atkins.

Changes: Adam Coates, Callum Johnston, Alex Johnson.
