Stags Go For Pyman Glory

By Danny Quinn - August 16 2019
Stags Go For Pyman Glory The Stags are back in action this week as they look to take part in the towns historic Pyman Cup competition ...

The Stags will be without some of last year’s regulars including the “Muscleman” Matt Fleet and the “Speedster” Lewis Scott who will be representing the first team!

Nevertheless, the Stags are graced with some of last season’s Academy Lads who will be keen to have their first taste of Senior Rugby, as well as some not so youthful faces returning (I’m looking at you Jimmy Tyo!!).

A strong front row include Handbag Angus, Cam Mould, Ross Wood and Jonny Hunter who will all be looking to impress in the opening game.

Jimmy Tyers and Nige Bulmer will provide power in the second row with Liam Bailey set to make his return in the back row with the younger Corbett making his first senior appearance! Alex Johnson and Pennick will also be keep to make an impact in the back row! Clergy also looks to make a comeback as last season he was known by some as a ‘tackling machine’.

Ben Armo (another tacking machine), Liam Rutherford, Smith, Hazel, Harrison, Jassy and another speedster Owen Westhorp will look to provide pace out in the back line.

Dan Quinn and Adam Simpson are on Wedding duty this week so aren’t available, whereas Graeme Scott is sunning himself up in Santorini (easy for some ey!) but will all be back for next week! Luckily for us Lewis was not invited… much to his disperse!

The Stags are set to meet at the club for 12:15. Number 1’s to be worn after the game.

Good Luck lads! It's set to be a great day!”
