We scored nine tries in last week's 51-27 win, which got the first season in Durham and Northumberland One off to the best possible start.
However,we may get a better idea of prospects in the new league when we take on South Shields Westoe at Wood Terrace.
The home side has had similar ups and down in recent seasons. They have successfully regrouped and last season lost only four games in Durham and Northumberland One - finishing a highly creditable third
We will be without the injured Gav Painter and locks Jake Linighan and John Bunter, who are both unavailable. Fortunately, we will see the return of powerful Chris Atkins, who will partner Joe Rafferty in the second row.
With Johnny Hunter carrying a knock from last week Craig Hadwen continues in the front row, and we are also boosted by the return of tighthead Adam Coates. He has recovered more quickly than expected from his facial injury and will be providing front row cover from the bench.
Flanker Isaac Robinson scored a try (pictured) in an impressive display on his return to the club from university and keeps his place in the back row where Jay Corbett comes in for the unavailable Scott Butcher. Matt Siddle also starts on the wing - fresh from his 60 metre chip and chase which earned Alex Barker his first try last week.
Connor McLurg was also in fine form when he came off the bench last week. He will be looking to do the same at Wood Terrace with Ben Armstrong providing backs cover after continuing his top rate performances with the Stags.
