The side showed what it could do last week with a six try demolition of fellow strugglers Northern. But that was the last home game at Brinkburn, and we must dig deep to take points at West Leeds this week and Huddersfield YMCA seven days later.
Theere are all kinds of permutations, but it comes down to perm any three clubs from six in the relegation stakes. If we fail to win either of the two last games we will definitely be down, and if we manage to win both we almost certainly won't.
West Leeds will be tough nuts as they’ve only lost once on their own pitch, and will finish comfortably in the top half of the table after earning promotion from Yorkshire One.
We will be without Rob Thorn whose pace and power provided one of the tries of the season last week – a 50 yard effort which saw him carve through the Northern defence. Rob's working in Houston so will miss both of the last games.
Alex Barker, who has got himself on the scoresheet regularly since his return to fitness, is away, and there's a fitness doubt over Adam Coates who has a badly bruised knee. Chris Atkins is likely to start for the first time this season in the back row.
Liam Checksfield is available, after scoring twice himself last week, and he will take his place in a side unlikely to show any otehr changes.
West squad: Will Hilditch, Liam Checksfield, Peter Youll, Matt Tyers, Adam Peacock, Gavin Painter, Zac Southern, Matt Siddle, Alex Key, Adam Brown, Andrew Rollins (captain), Adam Coates, Jake Linighan, John Bunter, Joe Rafferty, Chris Atkins, Scott Butcher, Andrew Turner.
