Cleckheaton Preview Mk II

Cleckheaton Preview Mk II
Chris Atkins is in line for a welcome return to league action for the first time since he injured his knee ligaments in the warm up at Malton and Norton back in September 2016. Weather permitting (there's now an amber weather warning for West Yorkshire)  he's likely to be on the bench after making a sort of comeback last week when he played for the Stags - in the centre .....

Checksfield Scotland

The other good news is that both Rob Thorn and Liam Checksfied are available - the latter after playing for the Scotland Under 20's development squad in their 10-10 draw against  Romania last weekend. He's pictured with team mate Hugo Tasker.

They'll be needed as both the Painters are missing. Skipper Ryan, remarkably upbeat after breaking his leg, will be out for the rest of the season while brother Gav took a nasty bang to the head last week and will be out for the precautionary three weeks.

Matt Siddle and Zac Southern will deputise with the pack looking pretty much like last week.

They'll take on a Cleck side which recovered from a bad spell to beat Bradford and Bingley and derby rivals Huddersfield YMCA in their last two games - results which nudged them into the top half.

West: Adam Peacock, Matt Tyers, Liam Checksfield, Will Hilditch, Rob Thorn, Zac Southern, Matt Siddle, Adam Coates, Andrew Rollins, Alex Key, John Bunter, Jake Linighan, Alex Barker, Scott Butcher, Andrew Turner.

Changes: Johnny Hunter, Chris Atkins, Dan Quinn.
