Northern Preview

By Dave Picken - December 1 2017
Northern Preview If we are to get out of the relegation zone we will need to break our away duck away as well as continuing our improved home form. This week we've got the short trip up the A19 to Northern - but once again it seems harder to get a team out for away games than it does for home ones ...

Asa result,  there are a number of changes to the side which scored six tries againt Dinnington last week.

Liam Checksfield has escaped the snow and is playing 7's in Dubai with Liam Austwicke and Lee Maddison both unavailable - after making their season debuts last week. Scott  Butcher and Liam Bailey are working so John Bunter drops into the back row with Joe Willis and Adam Peacock coming in on the wings. Joe Rafferty partners Jake Linghan in the second fow.

The four games leading up to Christmas were always going to be important and we did achieve the first goal last week with a bonus point win over fellow strugglers Dinnington.

At the same time Northern were losing narrowly to third placed West Leeds – as a result they are at the foot of the table some five points behind West.

It's a 2.00 kick off to avoid the gloom.

West: Will Hilditch, Joe Willis, Peter Youll, Gavin Painter, Adam Peacock, Zac Southern, Ryan Painter, Adam Coates, Andrew Rollins, Alex Key, Jake Linighan, John Joe Rafferty, John Bunter, Carl Miller (capt),  Andrew Turner.

Changes: Jordan Foulds, Ross Wood, Luke Mallinson.
