Penrith Preview
Liam Bailey makes his first appearance  for more than a year as the selection nightmare continues for the hard pressed coaches ....

Liam has answered the call as we aim to get two senior sides out despite having something like 20 players not available for the usual variety of reasons. He was out for all of last season with knee problems, and is still awaiting one minor procedure.

Scott Butcher has also made himself available despite hobbling off at Morpeth. He will, hopefully, start in our ever changing back row alongside Andy Turner who missed last week's heavy defeat.

From that side Adam Brown, Alex Key and Peter Youll are all unavailable with the latter off to Center Parcs at Penrith - there was a suggestion that this week's opponents could have picked him en route to Brinkburn and dropped him back off. Knowing the Cumbrians they would have been happy to do so.

Second row Jake Linighan was also one of those who battled away last week. Unfortunately, he was taken ill during the week requiring hospital treatment and we wish him a speedy recovery. Fellow second row Michael Hogan is also missing this week after injuring a shoulder at Mitford Road.

In the backs Paul Moss comes into the centre with CeeJay Beales and Joe Willis coming in on the wings. Zac Southern returns to full back allowing Gav Painter to resume at fly half after his sojourn in the centres.

Up front there is good news in the return of Adam Coates and Joe Rafferty. Jordan Foulds impressed in the back row against Percy Park, but returns to the front row with Andrew Rollins at loosehead.

On the bench Jay Corbett makes his first appearance of the season.

Last season Penrith pipped us to the play-off place in North One East only to lose at Birkenhead Park in the final .

This season they are making no secret of their ambition to return to the national league as outright winners. They've made a great start winning all four games and are sitting three points clear at the top.
