Stags Unbeaten in League

By Andy Dixon - March 26 2017
Stags Unbeaten in League West Stags finished off their CaNDY league season with a comprehensive win against a Bishop side who never gave in ...

The win took the record to 20 out of 20 wins which in any league is remarkable and is a testament to this group of players who have developed into a real team with real talent with an increasing number being able to cope with first team rugby when called on.

The Stags scored after 2 minutes and then at regular intervals. Full credit should go to Bishop who more than battled to the end and in fact were more than a match for West in the set piece.

Thanks also to Colin Davidson the man with the whistle who allowed the lads to play rugby with discipline but without the fuss.

Biancos Deli Man of Steel - Cameron Mould

Final score West 93-19 Bishop Auckland

Tries: Johnson Key (2) Mould Scott (2) Fleet  Jaspal (3)  Peacock (2) Titch  Quinn Siddle

Conversions:Siddle (6) Cole (1)

We can run out of superlatives to cover this issue, the players often changed, but the spirit and team work didn't . All those that contributed throughout the season should be very proud. This season was a 20 chapter book, but all read the same....well done.

Great introduction to senior rugby for a few of the lads this season. Equip them well for the Candy first division next season.
Special mention for the coaches who have done a great job creating team spirit
