Stags 48 Acklam Talbots 5
On a day when the score didn't really reflect the effort, commitment and doggedness of the opposition, West ran out 48-5 winners ...

Acklam showed what they were made of from the whistle when they went in for the first score. 5-0.

West stepped up and went through the motions to an extent but were foiled by tough tackling and lots of determination of the Teesside outfit, who at every turn, proved they hadn't turned out to make the numbers up.

 Half time 17-5

After a reassessment at half time the Stags played some better stuff with the benefit of a good number of the team training last week for which credit must be given.

Further tries from West with extras from Mallinson made the final score 48-5.

Special mention to the Tyers brothers - Jimmy for playing for Acklam for 20 and to boy band Matt for sweeping the sheds.

Training is vital this week before the visit of CANDY League 1 visitors Percy Park who sit top of that league. Next week will define where we are as a team.
