Alnwick Preview
Kick off times have changed from this week with a 2.15 start for the visit of Alnwick. Sadly that's the only thing which has changed with our rotten injury luck leading to both Owen Bennett and Luke Mallinson missing this week ...

The influential second row looks like being out until Christmas, after breaking some bones in his hand at Driffield last week, while Mallo has to serve the required three week rest after being knocked cold in the same game.  Andrew Foreman is also missing with a hamstring strain.

Fortunately, Chris Atkins is available partner Joe Rafferty in the second row while Jordan Baggs will continue in the back row where Sam Miller has receovered from injury.

Stu Waites had to come on for Mallinson last week, and he is fit enough to start in his place this week with CeeJay Beales making his first start of the season on the wing. An

It's an important game for both sides as neither wants to  be dragged into the basement battle, where both Horden and Old Crocs are struggling, but any number of teams could find themselves occupying the third relegation place come the season's halfway mark.,

We have a 50% win record but our league position has been hit by a lack of bonus points. We earned our first last week -another three or four would have put us in the top half of the table.

Alnwick already have four bonus points and, despite losing five games so far, arrive just one point behind us in 11th place.

They scored more than 60 points against an increasingly depleted Horden side last week.

Alnwick haven't won away since the first day of the season when they nipped down the A1 to beat Northern. It has to be said that their other away games have been at Pocklington, Sheffield and Ilkely and none of those top sides have found it easy to beat them.

West: Stu Waites, Scott Butcher, Liam Bailey, Peter Youll, CeeJay Beales,  Zac Southern, Ryan Painter, Ross Wood, Andrew Rollins, Adam Coates, Joe Rafferty, Chris Atkins,  Dan Boatman,  Jordan Baggs, Sam Miller:

Reps: Gav Robinson, Jack Angus, Alex Barker.
