Beales is on the verge of a first team appearance and there's no doubt he will be joined by a lot of his teammates from the successful Under 17s.
A handful of them played in last night's 38-7 defeat by Old Boys II's in the Pyman Shield - and acquitted themselves very well. Against an expierenced and well organised side they played some enterprising rugby with Baden Knibbs and Ben Reed showing more than a touch of class. Reed - a fly half very reminiscent of a young Stu Waites -scored the second half try which was well deserved after prolonged pressure on the home line.
Hooker turned centre Baxter also seems to have been to the Liam Bailey school of tackling.
Old Boys had too much power for the Bucks when they got close to the line and with only the bare 15 turrning up [come on lads on lads - we must do better] the likes of John Painter and Mick Ingham had to play the full 80 minutes. Karlos would have manged the 80 if he hadn't suffered his usual crop of injuries which eventually saw him carried off with an ankle injury ten minutes from time..
Tonight's game will thankfully see a full bench including Andrew Rolllins who hasn't been played for a month.
Chris Atkins will be in the starting line up after his recovery from long term injury and he'll be in a lively looking back row alongside Alex Johnson and Jay Corbett [pictured].
