West BeerFest

West BeerFest
Put the weekend of July 8th and 9th in your diaries now. There'll be a tremendous players reunion on the Friday followed by a Beer Festival on the Saturday - all to raise funds for the new development ..

There have been several meetings with the RFU who have recognised the need to repalce our "temporary" set-up with proper facilities.

We're hoping they make us a priority case so that we can create six new changing rooms, referee's facilities, fitness rooms and social facilities sooner rather than later. In fact, it could be as soon as the summer of 2012.

We're already looking at various grant sources -  but we will also have to raise money ourselves. It is true that funders look far more favourably at organisations where members get off their backsides and raise their own money - as well as going cap in hand,.

Kev Oliphant is gathering the players [and their partners]  who took the club through three successive promotions in the 90's for a reunion dinner in a marquee on July 8th. The function will also be open to club members and supporters, of course.

The following day the marquee wil be cleared for what we hope will be the first of many West BeerFest's . There'll be at least 25 real ales  on handpull, ciders and a West Wine Bar.  We'll be laying on live music in the marquee and a barbeque . For  families who want to come during the afternoon there will be a  funfair for the kids.

You can find out more about the West BeerFest here.  We hope it will attract the support of a wide audience in the town, so tickets will be going on sale soon and please support us by getting some sold to friends, family and workmates.

Go away dick head and wallow in your own site which seems more interested in a bloody bike ride than your impending relegation

I aint your mate. Go away your banter is the same each time, no one on here wants you here. You should worry about your club being relegated and turning into a cycling club!

I think you destroy the theory coming out of the lap dancing club! If you have somewhere to have a pint why are you one of the top posters on this site?
