Gareth took part in Steve Black's intensive training session last night and will figure in the last of the warm-up games against Morpeth at Brinkburn on Saturday.
He played for Kevan Oliphant at Mowden last season and he said: "Gareth will be a great addition. He is a great finisher but is also bvery strong inn defence. He also has the great benefit of already knowing most of the lads.
There was more good news for the club last night with Anth Carr optimistic that his knee injury may even allow him to play this week.

Is mark still there? The squad looks to be getting stronger by the week. I bet the Falcons shed more players as they sit at the bottom of the premiership in a couple of months' time. This is going to be an interestIng season for west a real test.
