Darren Thomas returns at full back, in place of Gavin Painter, while Craig Swales gets his chance on the wing. The youngster came on against Rovers earlier in the season and showed some classy touches.
The winner of this game will face either Horden or Durham City at home on March 22nd. That throws up the intriguing prospect that we could be playing City in the cup one week before we face them in a vital league encounter. Similarly, if we then beat City, we could face Rovers in the Cup Final a week before the final league game between the two sides. That game could decide some important issues for both clubs!
But that is all a long way off.
