The most interesting change is Rob Thorn moving inside. The strong running former Sandal and Vale of Lune man made a big impression on the right wing last week - at least in the first half. For some reason he got poorer service in the second half but against Carlisle he should see a lot more ball at inside centre.
Danny Weegram turned an ankle late in that game, so Andrew Hare is restored to one wing and Darren Thomas to the other, with Gavin Painter available again and slotting in at full back.
Davy Tighe's return from his ankle operation is more than welcome. Injuries and work commitments always threaten the squad so someone of his ability, and who can play either half back position, will be invaluable as the season develops.
Carlisle come as an unknown quantity. They've had a few key injuries and are currently second from bottom having only beaten York at home. Last week they lost their big local derby to Aspatria without getting on the scoresheet.
