Last week's display again frustrated the coaches but practice makes perfect and they are looking for a more controlled performance at Park.
The home side have yet to win even though they are coached by old West favourite James Ponton. Sadly for them Ponts spends his Saturday's playing for Sedgeley Park in National One.
Last seaosn we won in North Shields on a pitch which was half frozen. It won't be that way this time around but when they have their first call 15 Park are a match for anyone on their own patch and have some enterprising backs.
So far this season it's our forwards who have scored the tries with Anth Carr unfortunate to be replaced last week when on his hat trick.
The backs are hoping it will be their turn in the next few weeks and it surely won't be long before 17 year old Gav Painter gets his first score. He more than impressed last week and has recovered form the knock which saw him leave the pitch on the hour mark.
West: Todd, Lambert, Edwards, Hodgson, Painter, Moss, Tighe [capt], Carr, Sawyer, Norris, Rudd, Davies, D Boatman, Myers, J Boatman. Reps: Cullinane, Henderson, Hare.

What makes you think Henry will be getting pitch time next Saturday? He's had precious little so far this season?
Unless you're warming him up for a transfer to the Friarage.........?

Now then El Pedalo
I think Henry has been incredibly unlucky over the years to have benchwarmed more often than not. Last Saturday was a case in point when he did even more warming than normal.
The relative strength of the Rovers and West back rows over the last few seasons presumably helps to show why he would struggle to get a regular start at either club (before where Henry should be playing raises its head again)

Its always good to have a "fetcher" in your backrow, I dont think there's anyone better than Henry at that in the town !

anyway i think henry has been a tremendous player for the club over the years and i know when called on he'll do a good job. just like when he came on against old crocs.
opportunities will always present themselves one way or another....

It's a good situation for the club to have a lot of quality players fighting for position, but not so nice for the poor bloke dropped to the bench

Tones managed well against rovers in the last 6 games against them (of which west won 5 of course).
It is good to have pressure for positions but as Quinny said, not for the player who's on the bench. Henry's been unlucky to be the one to lose out in selection so far this season, but all he can do is keep training and playing hard and wait for his opportunity to arise.

fare to say henry is one of the better back row players in the town by a long way,
and there is no doubt he can do a job and will play a big role this season
