Park Drive will host the 95th Kerridge Cup Final on Sunday and a large crowd is anticipated with both Barnard Castle and Stokesley well supported clubs. 10 years ago neither club was in the NYSD Premier Division but since achieving promotion both clubs have been very competitive and it will be a keenly contested final.
Stokesley are currently third in the table and enjoying an excellent season with the Weighell brothers to the fore and James Beaumont still one of the best all-rounders in the north east.
Barnard Castle are also comfortably placed in the top half of the table and will be keen to take the opportunity of winning the flagship knockout competition for the NYSD Premier league. Overseas player Ben Turner will hope he can emulate his early season performance of 90* when playing Hartlepool at Park Drive.
Admission charges will apply to all spectators but a great afternoon's cricket lies in store for all cricket fans.
Good luck to both teams
