Senior Club Information

Hartlepool Cricket Club fields three senior teams in the North Yorkshire and South Durham ECB Premier League. The three teams play in the following Leagues, :-

The 1st XI plays in the Premier League and is captained by James Lowe;

The 2nd XI plays in Division 2. The 2nd XI Captain is yet to be confirmed; and

The 3rd XI plays in the Sunday Premier League and is captained by Darren Peek.

James Lowe is the Club's professional cricketer. 2019 is his second year at Park Drive. James is a righ-handed batsman who bowls off-spin and is able to keep wicket. He was previously on the cricket staff at Durham County Cricket Club, playing for the 1st XI and 2nd XI. He scored 80 runs in his debut first class innings. James is now a Coach at Durham County Cricket Club, with him recently being awarded his ECB Level 4 Coaching Award.

In 2018 James scored some 1,016 League runs for Hartlepool at an average of 42.33. He scored four 50s and four 100s. Hopefully, James has another successful season at Hartlpool in 2019, with him complementing the bowling efforts of Doug Mulholland who took 57 League wickets in 2018. Doug also returns to Hartlepool to Park Drive for 2019. It's hoped that the joint experience of James and Doug will help develop the cricketing abilities and education of those younger players who are selected to play in the 1st XI across 2019, with them learning from their 1st XI appearances.

As part of his role at Hartlepool Cricket Club, James will also assist with cricket coaching, with James undertaking coaching for the benefit of our Junior players. Senior training sessions are scheduled to take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings, commencing at 5.30pm. Existing players and those wishing to join the Club are encouraged to attend.
