Neil's knock has Boro reeling Hartlepool maintained their strong start to the season with an emphatic win at home to Middlesbrough.  An enjoyable day for home fans as bowlers and batsmen delivered to gain another 20 points and keep Hartlepool 2nd in the Premier League table.Neil Coverdale responded to James Lowe's knock for Middlesbrough to ensure Hartlepool came out on top.

Neil Coverdale was the star performer as he remained 84 not out for Hartlepool as they successfully overhauled the Middlesbrough total of 205 all out.  Hartlepool won by 7 wickets with overs to spare in extremely confident style.

The bowling attack laid the foundations for the win and put Middlesbrough on the back foot for much of the innings.  they were 148 for 8 before a good recovery saw them close at 205 with a late order fightback.

Peter Rhoden reached 103 not out for the 2nds at Billingham but still ended up on the losing side after Billingham overcame the Hartlepool total of 211 with just one wicket remaining.
