1sts so close to 4th win
Kasun Bodhisha Billingham's last pair denied Hartlepool what would have been a 4th consecutive win in the league.  Scoring 204 for 3 (Gough 80, Bodhisha 79) sharing a big partnership.  Pools then took early wickets with Alan Tebbett snaffling 3 catches but had to settle for a 17 point draw despite the efforts of the Hartlepool attack

A few photos from the 2nd XI match.  Personal apologies for the drop in normal quality (Alan Lacy couldn't make it this week)...but in truth the cricket (from Hartlepool 2nds) wasn't that good either.

Sedgefield bowlers made early breakthroughs and Hartlepool never looked like gaining control of the innings at any stage.  Chris Smith, Will Boyd (brilliantly caught in the deep) and Iain Walker all tried to establish themselves but perished

With overs and wickets running out Hartlepool resorted to tactics of old to no avail.  Sedgefield backed up their bowling and fielding with an unbroken opening partnership to win at a canter.  One bright spot was Harrison Smith showing solid technique late on in the innings with some nice controlled strokes.  Note Harrison is NOT pictured below!
